Daily Horoscope Today, All Twelve SignsFree

Every position on this page is computed from a real ephemeris and cast for New Delhi. The wording on top of those positions is our own reading of them, not a measurement and not a reading by an astrologer.

Daily Horoscope Today, All Twelve Signs

Pick your sign for today's reading. Each one is calculated from where the Moon actually is: the house it transits from that sign, the day's tithi and nakshatra, and what Jupiter and Saturn are doing. Nothing here is written in advance.

About this tool

Read your sign for today

The twelve daily readings, each with weekly, monthly and yearly views on the same page. If you know your moon sign, use that rather than your sun sign: classical gochara counts transits from the natal Moon.

Which sign should you read?

Most people know their sign from the Western tropical zodiac. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, which sits about twenty four degrees behind it, so a Vedic chart usually places your Sun one sign earlier. If you were born near the end of a Western sign, your Vedic sun sign is probably the previous one.

Indian practice also reads the Moon rather than the Sun as the primary sign. The rashi you were given as a child, the one used for your name and for kundli matching, is almost always your moon sign, and it is the more accurate one to read here. The free kundli tool works it out from your birth details in about a minute.

What goes into each day's reading

The Moon changes sign every two and a quarter days, and the house it occupies counted from your sign is the strongest daily signal in gochara. The third, sixth, seventh, tenth and eleventh read as supportive; the fourth, eighth and twelfth read as testing.

On top of that sit the tithi, which is the lunar day, and the nakshatra the Moon is crossing. Both are computed for the actual moment. The slow planets, Jupiter and Saturn, set the background the day happens against rather than the day itself.

What none of this can do is be specific to you. A sun-sign reading addresses one twelfth of everyone alive. Read it for the shape of the day, and read a birth chart for anything you intend to act on.

Daily horoscope questions

  • Is the daily horoscope free?

Yes, for all twelve signs, with weekly, monthly and yearly readings on the same page and no account needed.

  • Should I read my sun sign or my moon sign?

Your moon sign, if you know it. Classical gochara counts transits from the natal Moon, so the reading fits people with that moon sign most accurately. Your moon sign needs your birth date, time and place, which the free kundli tool will work out.

  • Why is my sign different here than on other sites?

Because this is the sidereal zodiac used by Indian astrology, not the tropical zodiac used by Western astrology. The two are about twenty four degrees apart, which is most of a sign.

  • When is the horoscope updated?

It is not updated on a schedule; it is calculated when you open it, from the Moon's position, tithi and nakshatra for that moment. You can also read yesterday and tomorrow from the same page.

  • How accurate is a daily horoscope?

Accurate about the sky, general about you. The positions are real and computed rather than written in advance, but anything addressed to a twelfth of the population is limited by arithmetic.
